Developed by the Australian Diabetes Society (ADS) and Australian Diabetes Educators Association (ADEA), this document is designed to assist health care professionals in caring for individuals using an insulin pump, with or without CGM, while in hospital.

This document aims to provide advice regarding the continued use of insulin pumps during hospitalisation under appropriate circumstances, and provides guidance as to when their use needs to be discontinued temporarily and how this should be implemented.

This document was first released in May 2025 and last updated in September 2026.
