The workshop is primarily open to clinicians who consult and manage people living with type 1 diabetes. The aim of the workshop is to provide structured practical training about insulin pumps and other technologies used in diabetes self-management. This workshop contains new content to reflect the recent developments in insulin pump therapy and CGM technologies. The program will consist of a series of small group workshops, with between 6-8 participants per group. This will allow for hands-on skills acquisition. Each workshop will be supported by structured written materials.
Topics to be covered include:
Familiarisation and understanding pump settings, Continuous glucose monitoring, Dietary management with AID systems, Automated Insulin Delivery Systems, Interpreting technology downloads, Exercise and pumps, New and emerging developments in insulin pump therapy.

Optional Pre-Workshop:
There will be an option for delegates to attend a pre-workshop on ‘Introduction to Diabetes Technology’ that will be held on Saturday 28 October from 8:00am to 9:00am. This pre-workshop is recommended for those clinicians who have minimal experience with diabetes technology especially in using insulin pumps. Spaces are very limited for the pre-workshop; you will need to advise during the registration process if you wish to attend.
Networking Dinner Function:
There will be a ‘Fast & Furious’ session held during the networking dinner function on Saturday 28 October from 5:30pm to 8:30pm with the supporting diabetes technology companies invited to present highlights of their products.
Registration Fees:
Registration fee includes attendance to both Day 1 and Day 2, the optional pre-workshop, networking dinner function on Saturday 28 October, program handbook, all workshop resources/handouts.
ADS Member Registration Fee is $198 (includes $18 GST) / Non-Member Registration Fee is $330 (includes $30 GST)

- Delegates travelling from interstate will need to organise their own travel arrangements (air travel and accommodation) to attend the workshop in Melbourne.

- Cancellation fees do apply. Please provide the ADS Secretariat notice by no later than Monday 23 October 2023 if you are unable to attend the workshop. After this date, the registration fee will be non-refundable.
