Westmead Hospital - 0.8 FTE Endocrinologist

Westmead Hospital is seeking a young enthusiastic Endocrinologist to fill this position, which will focus on the areas of inpatient management of diabetes, transition diabetes, and diabetes in pregnancy. Experience demonstrated through recent successful clinical practice in an environment appropriate to the requirements of the position and by clinical research in one or more of these areas would be an advantage.

Westmead Hospital is the major tertiary referral hospital in the Western suburbs of Sydney, with about 1000 beds, serving a population of 1.5 million people. It is a teaching hospital of the University of Sydney.  The successful candidate will be joining a busy Dept of Diabetes & Endocrinology with a strong focus on service, teaching, and research.

Central Coast Local Health District: Department of Endocrinology & Diabetes Management -
Visiting Medical Officer, Fee for Service

Applications are invited from suitably qualified endocrinologists eligible for registration in Australia for the above position within the Department of Endocrinology and Diabetes Management, Central Coast Local Health District.

Central Coast is comprised of the twin areas of Gosford and Wyong, both positioned between Sydney and Newcastle which are collectively expected to grow from the current approximate 300,000 to 450,000 population before 2030. The Central Coast is a popular destination for holiday makers and retirees, but is also a growing centre for day commuters into Sydney, Newcastle and the Hunter Valley. Central Coast Health Endocrinology has strong connections with both Royal North Shore Hospitals and the University of Newcastle.

Gosford Hospital is the principal referral hospital for Central Coast residents. The position is associated with an active diabetes service. The hospital has a high volume of surgical and medical activity across all major specialties. Gosford Hospital provides inpatient services including coronary and intensive care, general medicine, neurology, renal, geriatrics, general surgery, obstetrics, mental health, paediatric and emergency services. Outpatient and community services include allied health, dental, podiatry, nursing, child and adolescent and family health, drug and alcohol and cardiac rehabilitation.

Remuneration and conditions are in accordance with the NSW VMO Fee for Service Determination.
