SUMMARY:23rd ADS John R Turtle Diabetes Clinical Skills Training Course
DESCRIPTION:The ADS John R Turtle Diabetes Clinical Skills Training Course for Advanced Trainees in Adult Endocrinology is designed to be practical and interactive. It will be run by experienced diabetes clinicians from across Australia and will focus on everyday clinical skills required in the treatment of diabetes by endocrinology trainees. The course is supported by the Advanced Training Committee (ATC) in Endocrinology from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP). \nThis course is in honour of the esteemed and founding life member of the Australian Diabetes Society; late Professor Emeritus John R Turtle AO. \nThe 23rd ADS John R Turtle Diabetes Clinical Skills Training Course will be held as an online virtual event on Saturday 5th July 2025 from 9.00am to 5.00pm (AEST).  \nThis year\, we are offering the following topics to all: \n\nDiabetes Technology; Interpreting pump and CGM data downloads\nManaging Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes and Pregnancy\nExercise and Type 1 Diabetes\nType 1 Diabetes Prediction and Prevention \nManaging Lipids in People with Diabetes\n\nAttendance Eligibility:\n\nThis course is only open to Advanced Trainees currently enrolled with the Royal Australian College of Physicians (RACP) as a 1st\, 2nd or 3rd year trainee in Adult Endocrinology. It is not open for Allied Health Professionals\, Consultant Physicians or General Practitioners.\n\n\nRegister:\n\nPlease click HERE to register online. DESCRIPTION:National Diabetes Week runs from 13 – 19 July 2025\nDiabetes Australia launched National Diabetes Week in 2015 at the Lightwell in Federation Square\, Melbourne\, highlighting that three out of four people substantially underestimate the prevalence of diabetes in our community.
