DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, 6th July 2024  |  9:00am to 5:30pm (AEST)\nOnline Virtual Event\n\nThe John R Turtle Diabetes Clinical Skills Training Course is designed to be practical and interactive. It will be run by experienced diabetes clinicians from across Australia and will focus on everyday clinical skills required in the treatment of diabetes by endocrinology trainees. The course is supported by the Advanced Training Committee (ATC) in Endocrinology from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP). \nThis course is in honour of the esteemed and founding life member of the Australian Diabetes Society; late Professor Emeritus John R. Turtle AO. \nThe 22nd ADS John R Turtle Diabetes Clinical Skills Training Course will be held as an online virtual event on Saturday\, 6th July 2024 from 9:00am to 5:30pm (AEST). Please Note: This course is by invitation and only open for Advanced Trainees in Adult Endocrinology currently enrolled with the RACP. \nClick here for further details.

DESCRIPTION:National Diabetes Week runs from 14 – 21 July 2024\nDiabetes Australia launched National Diabetes Week in 2015 at the Lightwell in Federation Square\, Melbourne\, highlighting that three out of four people substantially underestimate the prevalence of diabetes in our community. Diabetes Australia is calling on all Australians to support the campaign and help to raise awareness of diabetes during National Diabetes Week. \nNational Diabetes Week 2024 – Diabetes Australia \nDiabetes Australia wants a future where diabetes can do no harm. \nPeople living with diabetes should be able to access the life-saving technology they need to live well. \nThis year Diabetes Australia is shining a light on the impact of diabetes tech and what needs to be done to improve access. \nRight now in Australia\, access to diabetes technology isn’t fair and equitable. Some people have technology like CGM devices and insulin pumps\, while others go without. Our fight starts and ends with community. Together\, we are raising our voice and fighting for change. Let’s unite in the fight for tech. Get involved.
