SUMMARY:ADS Early Career Network Workshop 2023
DESCRIPTION:We invite all early career ADS members to be part of the ADS Early Career Network (ECN)\, an ADS initiative to support clinicians and scientists with an interest in diabetes. The ECN Committee has developed a structure focused on four key pillars; research\, education\, professional development and social networking. By working collaboratively with senior ADS members\, we hope to build a community of peer-to-peer support and to help our early career members increase their visibility and maximise their skills and impact. The ECN Committee is excited to offer an exclusive half-day workshop to a limited number of ADS early career members attending #23ADC on Tuesday 22nd August\, 2023. This workshop\, which is designed and led by early career members with the support of senior facilitators will focus on our four key pillars and offer a unique opportunity to network and shape the future of the ECN. The Workshop will be held at the Adelaide Oval (Premiership Suite on Level 3) and you are required to attend the Australasian Diabetes Congress to register for the ADS ECN Workshop. Registration fee is $55 (includes $5 GST). For any further information please contact the ADS Secretariat via email to admin@diabetessociety.com.au \nClick to view the event flyer.\nClick to view the program.

SUMMARY:ADS/ADEA Australasian Diabetes Congress (ADC)
DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to host the Australasian Diabetes Congress at the Adelaide Convention and Exhibition Centre\, August 23 – 25\, 2023. The program organising committees of both societies have collaboratively developed an integrated program that will cover the latest breakthroughs in research\, education and clinical care in diabetes. We have engaged outstanding international and national speakers with whom you will be able to network to exchange opinions and discuss how to best care for the person living with diabetes. \nWe are excited to return to face-to-face events with opportunities to see old colleagues\, meet new ones and connect again with our industry partners in the exhibition hall. We are conscious that cost is a consideration for attending conferences and providing a virtual option would significantly increase the registration fee. Therefore\, this year’s Congress will be an in-person only event with no virtual attendance option. \nIn addition\, the Australian Diabetes Society will be celebrating its 50th anniversary\, which we are very excited about! \nWe look forward to seeing you in person in Adelaide in August\, 2023.
